How Celebrate Recovery Works
Celebrate Recovery is open to everyone who is battling any type of
addiction, habit, struggle or hurt.
As soon as you walk through our doors, you’ll be greeted by one of
our leaders, who will give you all of the materials you’ll need for
the meeting. We start each meeting with a time of uplifting and
inspiring music to set the tone. Our perspective is forward looking.
While we all must recognize our past actions, Celebrate Recovery
does not dwell on the past but focuses on the future, one where we
have everlasting freedom from our burdens.
After the music, there is a message which is based on proven
life-changing principles that address our attitudes and habits.
Next, we break out into small groups to further discuss and apply
what we’ve learned with others who are struggling with the same
issues.
Small groups allow the opportunity to share personal thoughts and
feelings, give and receive support as well as learn specific
attitudes and behaviors to successfully overcome your challenges and
struggles in a safe setting. We respect the privacy of one another,
so what’s shared does not go beyond those in the group. And, each
group is lead by someone who has participated in the program, so the
group leader understands what you’re going through. While we
acknowledge taking personal responsibility as part to the recovery
progress, you are not in this alone – you have the support of your
group, the group leader, a personal sponsor, and the almighty power
of God in whom nothing is impossible!
There are three categories of small groups at Celebrate Recovery:
Dependent- This group is for anyone who is (addicted to) dependent on something
such as:
• Drugs
• Alcohol
• Sex
• Food
• Finances Actions that affect finances such as gambling or shopping
• Anger
• Depression
• Grief
Co-dependent- This group is for people in relationships who feel
responsible to help or “save” the other person (typically a
“dependent” described above). So, you could be married to someone
dealing with anger/rage, a parent to someone addicted to drugs or a
close friend to someone who can’t stop gambling. As a result, you
might struggle with issues of forgiveness, blame or damaged
self-esteem. Recognizing that feelings, attitudes and behaviors
differ between men and women, we have a male and female groups.
General- This is a group of open sharing for those not already in
one of the groups listed above.
At Celebrate Recovery, we are completely committed to your
successful recovery from whatever hurts and burdens you. Our success
rate for program participants is unequalled to those of any
industry. Make a decision today to make a positive and everlasting
change for the better.
We meet every Wednesday Night at 7:00 p.m.
